Westwood Park is Open
In response to the Stay-At-Home order, issued by the Governor, for the state of Indiana, effective March 25, 2020 until April 7, 2020, Westwood Park will remain open as per item 7, section C of his mandate Leaving the Home for Essential Activities is Permitted.
Westwood Park is open daylight hours only with the following closures:
- The playground is closed.
- All restrooms are closed
Those visiting Westwood Park must adhere to the guidelines of the order and practice social distancing, staying 6 feet apart from other park patrons.
All those entering the park must stop at the entrance gate.

Westwood Park is open year round to the public for a variety of recreational activities. Fishing is excellent for bass, sunfish, crappie and channel catfish. A small modern campground is located near the lake and is open from May through October. Picnicking, hiking, mountain biking, a horse trail, shelter house and play field are some of the day use activities to be found. Some facilities are handicapped accessible.
While in the park, one may have the opportunity to see many types of wildlife that are present in the various habitats. Hiking trails, the horse trail and mountain bike trail offer wonderful scenery of deciduous woodlands, abandoned grasslands and rolling hills. Numerous species of trees native to Indiana may be found in the park.

The horse trail is now closed for the 2019-2020 winter season.

Notice: The mountain bike/hiking trail is overgrown and difficult to pass in areas. We are working on a solution for better maintenance in the areas most affected. Thank you for your patience and we apologize for any inconvenience.
